Finance for Transport Businesses
Trucks, trailers, balloon payments and cash flow funded for owner-drivers and transport companies.

How lenders look at a transport business
Fuel, tolls, registration, insurance and wages leave your account every week. Freight customers often pay on 30, 45 or 60 day terms. Lenders that fund transport understand that gap, and they look closely at three things: the truck or trailer itself, the work it will do, and how long you have been in the industry.
The vehicle is usually the main security, so its age, kilometres and condition matter, and most lenders limit how old a unit can be when the loan ends. A signed contract, a regular run or a letter of engagement shows where the repayments come from. Joseph Farhat and his team gather that picture with you, match it to lenders across our panel of 90+ bank, non-bank, and specialist lenders, and manage the file through to settlement.
What transport operators most often bring to us
Buying a prime mover, rigid or trailer
Whether it is your first truck as an owner-driver or the next unit for a growing fleet, lenders assess the vehicle, your experience and the work lined up for it. Dealer, auction and private sales can all be funded, with checks on the seller before money moves.
Truck financeA balloon payment coming due
Many truck and trailer loans end with a lump sum, called a balloon or residual. If the cash is not there to pay it, a new loan can cover the payout and spread it over a fresh term. Starting before the due date gives the widest choice of lender.
Balloon payment refinanceCustomers paying slower than your costs
When a large freight customer pays on 45 or 60 day terms, invoice finance advances most of the value of your unpaid invoices now. The balance, less fees, comes to you when the customer pays. It grows with your sales rather than sitting as a fixed loan.
Invoice financeAn ATO debt building up
Rising running costs can leave BAS amounts, including PAYG withholding (the tax taken from wages) and GST, unpaid. Some lenders will clear the ATO balance and let you repay over a set term, secured against trucks, a depot or property. If the business may not be able to pay its debts, an accountant or registered insolvency practitioner comes first.
